Osteomyelitis fistula of frontal bone (related to sinusitis)

The skin of the upper lid became adherent to a fistulous area caused by osteomyelitis involving the frontal bone just beneath the brow. The underlying etiology was purulent frontal sinusitis. Chronic exposure of the palpebral conjunctiva resulted in squamous metaplasia or epidermalization/tylosis of the conjunctiva. (It should be pointed out that ocular photography for detail is extremely difficult in heavily pigmented patients.)
