Color Vision Testing

Richard C. Allen, MD, PhD, FACS
Additional Notes: Length 00:37

Color plates are used to test color vision.  There are various types of color plates; in this video, Ishihara plates are being used.  The patient is instructed to tell you what numbers or designs are seen.  The patient should wear their glasses.  One eye is tested at a time.  The books of plates will have answer keys in them which list which designs or numbers should be seen.
