Here we show a trick for inserting a capsular tension ring (CTR), utilizing the commonly-available Sinskey hook. One problem with CTR insertion is that it can become caught or snagged when it engages the peripheral lens capsule, particularly if the capsule is not fully inflated. This technique prevents snags on initial contact and allows the CTR to come into contact with the bag along a broader area. It can also be useful in avoiding or spanning areas of focal zonular weakness.
