VA Wet Lab Session 2: Irrigation & Aspiration (I&A) and Nucleus Disassembly

Objectives:

• Demonstrate ability to remove cortical material using I&A on the EyeSi
• Describe various techniques for nucleus disassembly:
  • Divide and Conquer
  • Stop and Chop
  • Quick Chop
• Demonstrate ability with nucleus disassembly on the EyeSi.
  • Using Divide and Conquer
• To practice using chopping
• Demonstrate ability with using the phacoemulsification foot pedal.
