Autosomal dominant neovascular inflammatory vitreoretinopathy (ADNIV) is a hereditary autoimmune disorder of the eye caused by mutations in the CAPN5 gene. It is characterized by abnormal retinal pigmentation, retinal and iris neovascularization, panuveitis, vitreous hemorrhage, intraocular fibrosis and membrane formation, and tractional retinal detachment. This photo shows diffuse epiretinal membranes and fibrosis in a patient with ADNIV.
